Sunday 25th July '21, Shrewsbury
What to expect
A Mile of Smiles will bring some long-awaited fun to Shrewsbury. We will be filling the town with live music, poetry, circus acts, bubbles, and lots of lovely performers who are tasked with generating smiles!
We want to entice visitors back into Shrewsbury to support our region’s performers who have been unable to showcase their work during the pandemic.
The event will run from 10am – 4pm on Sunday, 25thJuly, starting from Shrewsbury Castle and ending at the Quarry where local acts, theatre groups, and musicians will be performing on a live stage.
This free event has been made possible with funding from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund and support of Shrewsbury BID.
A Mile of Smiles is all about celebrating culture and finally being able to bring the fun back!
If you are a local performer, poet, musician or entertainer and would like to get involved, or if you would love to volunteer to help us out on the day, fill in the contact form below or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
All for a good cause
We will be raising money for the charity Climbing Out on the day, who help adults rebuild
confidence, self-esteem and motivation following a life-changing trauma, injury or illness.
We felt this was particularly relevant as we all try to find a new way forward after such a challenging time.
Look out for Climbing’s Out volunteers along the route who will be collecting donations.
